Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a remote Regional Engineer to support the Southwest region. The role provides technical leadership and supports IPS growth while aligning with the annual operating plan.

You will help deploy technologies, establish standards for motor repair and field service, and ensure safe, reliable processes across IPS Service Centers. Responsibilities include participating in regional meetings, integrating engineering functions, and maintaining motor repair

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience on AC Induction, Synchronous & Wound Rotor Motors with a concentration toward repair and rewind of electro‑mechanical machines.
• 6+ Years’ experience on DC Motors & Generators.
• Knowledge of AC & AD insulation systems, coil design - Volts/Turn, Volts/Mil Calculations.
• Knowledge of High Voltage Motors & Generators.
• Knowledge of High Voltage Testing (Partial Discharge, TVA Corona Probe, etc.).
• Working Knowledge IEEE Standards: IEEE‑101, IEEE‑43, IEEE‑95, IEEE‑286, IEEE‑522, IEEE‑1043, IEEE‑1553, IEEE‑1434, IEEE‑1068 and related.
• Working Knowledge of NEMA MG‑1, API‑541/547.
• Hands on troubleshooting of AC & DC motor and Generator issues.
• Working knowledge of vibration analysis for AC/DC motors/generators.
• Working knowledge of flux calculations for AC Induction Motors.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the IPS UCE tier meeting process for the six Southwest Region Service Centers.
• Team member of the Regional Engineering staff for integration of IPS Engineering and technical functions.
• Manage functional deployment with HR, CIPS, and operational design team.
• Maintain and administer motor repair, coil manufacturing, winding, engineering, customer, and industry specs.
• Develop and maintain repair/field service work procedures and work instructions.
• Build technical repository for standard work instructions, forms, data sheets and final reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NEMA MG‑1, IEEE, ASME, API, UL, CSA) as maintained.
