Job summary

Motion and Control Enterprises (MCE) is hiring a Regional Controller to own accounting operations for a multi-entity region and lead monthly closes, consolidations, and revenue recognition across 25+ companies.

The role partners with subsidiary general managers to provide financial insight, oversee lease accounting, SALT compliance, and long-term contract accounting, with ~15% travel and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership in multi-entity environments
• Distribution or manufacturing industry experience
• Hands-on experience with lease accounting (ASC 842)
• Multi-state sales and use tax (SALT) compliance
• Percentage-of-completion accounting for long-term contracts
• Experience managing multi-company consolidations across entities
• Strong Excel skills; ERP system experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close for multiple subsidiary companies within an assigned region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Manage multi-company consolidations including intercompany eliminations for regional and corporate reporting.
• Prepare, review, and approve financial statements for assigned entities (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow).
• Calculate and report budget variances and key operating metrics to leadership.
