Job summary

YA Group seeks a Regional Contents Consultant to deliver high-quality consulting on contents and business personal property losses for insurers, TPAs, adjusters, businesses, and insureds. You will evaluate complex losses, document inventories, and provide defensible valuation and claim support.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to travel for large-loss assignments while collaborating with YA teams and clients to ensure timely, accurate

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in contents restoration, consulting, or large-loss projects.
• Deep understanding of contents and business personal property claims.
• Experience documenting complex residential and commercial losses.
• Knowledge of RCV/ACV and depreciation methods.
• Experience reviewing restoration invoices and inventories.
• Strong Excel skills with high-volume data handling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to manage client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and field assessments of contents and property.
• Develop and oversee detailed physical inventories with photos and condition notes.
• Evaluate restoration vs total loss and advise on salvage or replacement.
• Review inventories, estimates, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Perform RCV/ACV valuation, inventory verification, and audits.
• Support total-loss inventory recreation when items are unavailable.
• Manage field operations and workflows on large assignments.
• Prepare preliminary reports, ROMs, inventories, and valuation docs.
• Communicate with clients, insureds, adjusters, and vendors regularly.
• Lead client meetings and provide updates on scope and timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams for accurate, timely outputs.
• Provide mentorship and QC review for junior consultants.
• Maintain organized project files and records.
• Support litigation, pre-loss assessments, and business development as needed.
