Job summary

YA Group is seeking a Regional Contents Consultant to deliver high-quality consulting on contents losses for insurers, TPAs, and businesses. You will assess complex inventories, guide restoration vs. total-loss decisions, and deliver defensible documentation.

Travel to assignments is required. Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in contents-related roles, strong Excel skills, and proven ability to manage client expectations with independence and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in contents restoration, contents consulting, property insurance, or large-loss project management.
• Strong knowledge of contents and business personal property claims, including inventory development and valuation.
• Experience conducting physical inventories and documenting complex residential and commercial losses.
• Familiarity with RCV/ACV, depreciation, and market-based valuation methods.
• Experience reviewing restoration estimates, invoices, inventories, and supporting claim documents.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and handling high-volume valuation data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and field assessments of contents and business personal property.
• Develop and oversee detailed inventories with photos, descriptions, quantities, and condition.
• Evaluate restoration versus total loss and advise on salvageability and replacement.
• Review and analyze inventories, estimates, invoices, and other supporting documentation.
• Perform RCV/ACV valuation, inventory verification, reconciliation, and audits.
• Support total-loss inventory recreation when contents are destroyed or unavailable for inspection.
• Manage field operations and project workflows on large, complex assignments.
• Prepare preliminary reports, ROM assessments, inventories, and valuation reports for clients.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, insureds, contractors, and vendors; lead client meetings.
