Stony Brook University is seeking a Regional Admissions Counselor to work remotely from a home office in the Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth area, covering the Texas territory. The role supports recruitment initiatives and collaboration with university partners to increase enrollment.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and at least one year of relevant experience, with strong tech, Office software, and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (foreign equivalent acceptable).
• One year of full-time experience in a college/university setting.
• Proficiency with technology, office software and communication systems.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Responsabilités

• Represent the university in admissions and recruitment across Texas.
• Travel to college fairs, high school visits, community college visits, and outreach programs.
• Build territory outreach plans and recruit to meet enrollment goals.
• Engage with students, families, counselors, and partner offices to explain admissions policies.
• Provide information sessions for students, parents, and counselors during the admissions cycle.
