Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital is seeking a Referral Representative to process insurance pre-authorizations for primary and specialty visits and testing. You will gather patient and payer information, liaise with clinical and insurance staff, verify coverage, and document all actions in the EMR to communicate authorization progress.

The role is fully remote with standard business hours, and requires teamwork with Patient Service Representatives and Clinical Staff.

Formación

• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and timeliness.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes.
• Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Proficient with electronic medical records systems, Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Process insurance pre-authorization for office visits and testing.
• Gather information from patients, providers, and payers to confirm financial obligations.
• Act as liaison between clinical staff, health plans, providers and patients for authorizations.
• Verify coverage and obtain required authorizations when needed.
• Document referral information and progress in electronic medical records.
