Donor Network of Arizona is seeking a Referral Intake Specialist to evaluate referrals, assess donor suitability, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to maximize donation opportunities across Arizona. Remote (Arizona Residents Only) | Full-Time | Hourly Position.

The role supports the ROC, AOC, ORC, ODC, and DLA, coordinating with hospital staff and physicians to optimize referral outcomes while providing education on the donation process and care continuity.

Formación

• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to make informed decisions in fast-paced, emotionally sensitive situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing medical records and interpreting clinical information preferred.
• Healthcare, organ donation, transplant or related clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with appropriate professional staff and reviews the patient’s medical record for consideration of donation options.
• Performs an initial telephone evaluation to determine gross suitability for organ donation.
• Performs full chart review to assess donor suitability.
• Collaborates with internal staff to manage all open referrals and daily follow-up.
• Provides basic education to hospital staff about the donation process and care plan.
• May facilitate family conversations regarding donation when needed.
