Job summary

Concentra, Inc. is seeking a Referral Management Coordinator to support referral requests and authorizations, collaborating with physicians, employers, and payors to ensure timely patient care. This role emphasizes high-quality patient experience, compliance with HIPAA, and accurate documentation.

Must be a Texas resident; remote in Texas with local travel for orientation. The position offers full-time employment in a fast-paced corporate environment with opportunities to develop in customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a medical environment (referrals, claims, billing, etc.).
• Experience with Workers' Compensation preferred.
• Proficiency with scheduling/insurance verification software.

Responsibilities

• First point of escalation for all case related issues requiring guidance.
• Daily completion of assigned patient referrals, while meeting production requirements.
• Reviews, processes and supports Specialist referral requests by Concentra sites as defined by the market.
• Obtains authorization for Specialist referrals and schedules appointments accordingly.
• Ensures appropriate networks and Concentra Advanced Specialists are used when applicable.
• Provides all necessary information to payor (medical records, prescriptions, etc.).
• Communicates with stakeholders, payor, employer, and patient as appropriate.
• Records information via OA/CR module of OccuSource per policy.
• Builds relationships with provider, employer and payor communities.
• Identifies trends in missed capture and communicates ideas to Lead and Supervisor.
• Handles calls per department guidelines.
• Participates in QA processes including audit program, case reviews and training.
