Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our Fort Lauderdale team onsite. You will manage patient referrals, obtain authorizations and schedule appointments, coordinating with physicians, employers and payers to improve patient outcomes.

You will ensure accurate documentation, maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of sensitive information, and support a high-quality patient experience in a fast-paced medical office setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Job-Related Experience: At least 1 year of experience.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• First point of escalation for case-related issues requiring guidance.
• Daily completion of assigned patient referrals while meeting production requirements.
• Reviews and processes diagnostic, specialty and physical therapy referral requests by Concentra sites.
• Obtains authorization for referrals and schedules appointments accordingly.
• Ensures appropriate networks and Concentra Advanced Specialists are used when applicable.
• Provides necessary information (medical records, transcripts) to payer.
• Communicates with payer, employer and patient per service guidelines.
• Maintains records via OA/CR module of OccuSource per policy.
