Job summary

Internet2 is a nonprofit, member-driven advanced research and higher education technology community. The Recruiter & HR Generalist role is remote, focused on full-cycle recruiting for highly technical and hard-to-fill positions, delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience while providing limited HR generalist support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting, especially for technical roles.
• Proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
• Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to adapt to diverse hiring manager styles and build partnerships.
• Strong screening, interviewing, and candidate recommendations.
• Experience with ATS systems; ADP Recruitment module is a plus.
• HR generalist support, including process docs, training and process improvement.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Strong time management, organization, and follow-up abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop recruitment strategy and process.
• Own full-cycle recruitment for technical and non-technical positions.
• Partner with Hiring Managers to define needs and recruitment strategies.
• Source, screen, interview, and recommend qualified candidates.
• Explain benefits, compensation, total rewards and performance management to candidates.
• Ensure positive applicant, candidate, and employee experiences.
• Train Hiring Managers via various platforms (lunch and learns, Zoom, sessions).
• Own Recruitment Module within the HRIS and ensure compliance.
• Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities independently.
• Demonstrate integrity through ethical decision-making and accountability.
• Track overall process efficiency including time to fill.
• Timely disposition of applicants.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Ensure consistency, attention to detail, and accuracy for admin tasks.
• Timely follow-up and follow through.
