Job summary

Merlin Labs is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to lead Integration and Verification for the Mission Autonomy Sub-System within the Merlin Pilot System. You will develop test plans, procedures, and cases, produce reports, and ensure testability across evolving requirements and facilities.

Ideal candidates have 6–9 years in V&V/Systems Engineering, experience with flight control systems, and familiarity with MBSE tools. Hybrid work from our Boston HQ is preferred; remote applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Aerospace/Systems Engineering or related; MS preferred.
• 6–9 years in Integration and Verification / Systems Engineering.
• Experience in Flight Control Systems testing with ML or Autonomy.
• Experience with requirements management tools and processes.
• Ability to develop requirements for Test Facilities, architecture, interfaces, and perform validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Cases for Integration and Verification of the Mission Autonomy Sub-System with the Merlin Pilot System.
• Produce Test Reports and Problem Reports from testing efforts.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases and test procedures.
• Ensure Test Plans and Procedures align with program schedules.
• Assess test strategies to ensure Test Facilities support Sub-Systems testing.
• Review requirements for testability and provide feedback to correct requirements.
• Ensure Test Facilities are conformed for formal Integration and Verification testing.
• Support Integration and Verification of Flight Autonomy Sub-System on the Air Vehicle Platform.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with safety, hardware, and software teams to capture interfaces.
