Job summary

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to perform teardown, inspection, repair and reassembly of turbine components, following OEM tolerances.

The position involves heavy travel (~80%) across hydroelectric assets, ensuring safety and quality while guiding a Helper and coordinating with the Lead Millwright. Expect active involvement in planning, documentation, and tool preparation.

Qualifications

• Requires 4–6 years as a millwright or equivalent
• Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent
• Experience with rotating heavy equipment, hydroelectric or power generation preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with precision measuring instruments and alignment equipment
• Current LOTO and confined space entry training; rigging certification preferred
• Ability to follow Lead Millwright instructions with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office for documentation

Responsibilities

• Perform teardown and reassembly of turbine components to OEM tolerances
• Conduct precision measurements and alignments; record findings in overhaul logs
• Rig, sling, and direct crane lifts safely per lift plans
• Adhere to LOTO, confined space and site safety protocols; participate in pre-job briefs
• Assist Lead Millwright with planning, parts staging, and tool prep
• Guide Helper on safe techniques and trade knowledge
• Identify wear or damage and report findings promptly
• Maintain clean, organized work site and properly store tools
• Complete work orders, inspection forms, and measurements accurately
• Adapt to changing priorities and take on additional duties as directed
• Proficient use of company email and work order systems
