Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a SATCOM Systems Engineer to lead end-to-end systems engineering for DoD SATCOM architectures, supporting a global network of facilities. You will translate mission needs into technical specifications and guide the lifecycle from concept through sustainment.

Expect growth into systems architecture and cross-domain collaboration. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in DoD SATCOM, a Top Secret clearance, and a degree in engineering or IT.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DoD end-to-end SATCOM systems engineering and architecture design or integration for DISN or SATCOM Gateway/Teleport capabilities
• 4+ years of system lifecycle activities (acquisition, requirements analysis, engineering, design, integration, sustainment, or technical refresh)
• 4+ years of experience assessing satellite communications system architectures and hardware limitations, defining new concepts, and implementing
• 4+ years of experience leading engineering tasks for SATCOM systems with multiple components/subsystems
• 4+ years of experience in planning, organizing, and conducting technical project design, development, testing, fielding, and sustainment
• Knowledge of DoD systems acquisition process and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), SATCOM and IP networks
• Ability to consolidate disparate design efforts for enterprise SATCOM systems, optimizing cost, schedule and performance
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT field
