Job summary

Heard & Smith, LLP is seeking a licensed attorney for an entry-level Associate Attorney role focused on Social Security Disability claims. You will represent clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges and will travel to hearings in other cities and states.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney (Attorney License)
• Reliability and dependability
• Eagerness to learn and make a difference
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent legal writing skills
• Ability to travel to hearings up to 70% of the time
• Residency in CA, TX, GA, FL, NV, TN, DC, NC, or SC
• Knowledge of Social Security Disability Law is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges.
• Develop and review pre-hearing and hearing-level cases; draft memoranda and briefs.
• Maintain regular client contact by telephone, mail and email; assist with other tasks as assigned.
