Understood Care, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a hands-on RCM leader to own revenue cycle from start to finish. You'll lead a remote 5-person billing team and drive collections, claims processing, contracting, and credentialing.

Collaborate with operations and engineering to prevent denials and automate workflows while staying compliant with CMS guidelines. This role offers a path to shape a growing care-navigation company in a hybrid setup in Southern California.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in healthcare RCM with leadership experience.
• Deep Medicare and Medicare Advantage billing experience.
• Hands-on payer contracting and credentialing skills.
• Proven ability to improve collections and reduce denials.
• Strong analytical skills with data, dashboards, and reporting.
• Interest in partnering with engineering to automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a 5-person RCM team and set productivity standards.
• Own collection goals and core RCM KPIs.
• Oversee Medicare/Medicare Advantage claims processing from start to finish.
• Manage payer contracting and provider credentialing.
• Run denial triage and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to prevent denials and automate billing.
• Ensure CMS compliance and payer requirements.
• Report revenue performance to leadership.
