Job summary

Optim Orthopedics is seeking a RCM Lead - Front End to oversee daily front-end revenue cycle operations and support staff across patient access, insurance verification, and financial clearance. You will coordinate scheduling/check-out and point-of-service collections while ensuring data accuracy and timely service.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in medical billing or front-end revenue cycle roles, familiarity with Athena Health, and experience guiding teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certificate in medical office administration preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in medical billing, front-end revenue cycle, collections, or accounts receivable; lead or training experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience with insurance verification, patient access workflows, or financial clearance; Athena Health or similar PMS experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR software and office workflows; knowledge of Athena database software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily front-end revenue cycle operations including patient access, insurance verification, and financial clearance.
• Assist scheduling/check-out, and point-of-service collections; ensure accurate demographic and insurance data entry.
• Provide coverage during staffing gaps and training transitions; escalate workflow barriers as needed.
• Identify eligibility issues, denial trends, and payer issues; communicate findings to supervisor.
• Support front desk and billing staff with patient billing inquiries and claim concerns.
• Contribute to weekly productivity and workflow status reports.
