Job summary

Weiss-Aug, a leader in precision manufacturing, seeks a Quoting/Estimating Engineer to craft complex proposals and develop integrated cost models for precision machined components. You will partner with Business Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing Centers to ensure accurate, competitive quotes across medical, aerospace, automotive, and other sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation in manufacturing, with precision machined components.
• Direct experience in medical, automotive or aerospace industries.
• Experience with ERP systems (PLEX preferred) and quotation workflows.
• Experience working for a Contract Manufacturer or OEM.

Responsibilities

• Manage quote opportunities and meet quotation deadlines.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for proposals.
• Analyze RFQ feasibility and data affecting cost and manufacturability.
• Review customer models for manufacturability and tooling impact.
• Generate formal quotations with assumptions, lead times and terms.
• Maintain cost models and quoting templates; update costing in ERP.
• Collaborate with Engineering to validate cycle times and processing details.
• Support Sales during RFQs, technical calls and quote reviews.
