Job summary

Xometry is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to analyze CAD models, assess manufacturability, and calculate costs to support fast, accurate quoting for customers. The role blends deep technical expertise with strong analytical and communication skills.

You will review drawings, organize RFQs, and collaborate with Sales and Engineering to ensure timely quotes and process improvements. Remote-friendly, Eastern US time alignment preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a higher technical education in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• 6+ years of metalworking or mechanical engineering experience.
• Expert knowledge of machining and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and CAD models and assess manufacturability.
• Calculate manufacturing costs including materials and machining hours.
• Provide recommendations on manufacturing processes and document calculations for Sales/Engineering.
• Review 3D models and 2D drawings for quoting and feedback.
• Organize RFQs and maintain quote databases; deliver quotes within 1–2 working hours.
