Job summary

L&A Distributors, a private label beauty company, seeks a Quality Manager to lead end-to-end quality systems for cosmetics and OTC personal care products. You will own KPIs, incident reporting, traceability, supplier and facility qualification, and production release, while driving risk management and sustainability across materials and suppliers.

The role balances hands-on systems leadership with cross-functional partnership and requires travel to CM locations in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (ASQ CQE/CQA, ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma) preferred.
• 7–10+ years in CPG beauty or related fields with hands-on QMS leadership across suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Experience implementing redundancy, risk frameworks (FMEA) and sustainability-aligned quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Strategy, KPIs & Governance aligned to cosmetics & OTC products (cGMP, ISO, MoCRA).
• Lead incident reporting, CAPA, escalation, and trend analytics for supplier and manufacturing partners.
• Oversee traceability across ERP/PLM/QMS and manage master standards, COA/COCs, and quality documentation.
• Manage Facility Audit & Qualification programs for manufacturers and suppliers with risk ratings and CAPAs.
• Collaborate with Sourcing on material specs, COA/COC requirements, and supplier scorecards.
• Administer QMS/PLM/ERP workflows and lead training for inspectors and operators.
