Job summary

Ajulia Executive Search is seeking a senior quality leader to guide and develop a regulated manufacturing Quality organization on behalf of a client in Pennsylvania. You will shape the QMS, drive continuous improvement, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver compliant products.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of quality leadership, deep knowledge of FDA/cGMP, audits, CAPA, and expertise in SPC/Lean/Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field with 8+ years of quality leadership experience.
• Proven success leading quality teams, driving measurable improvements and cost reductions.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing industries (cosmetics, personal care, pharma, OTC).
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP, audits, CAPA, and quality data analysis.
• Expertise in SPC, Lean, Six Sigma and ongoing professional development through ASQ.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Quality teams while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage and enhance the Quality Management System to meet FDA, cGMP, OTC and customer standards.
• Oversee customer complaints, investigations, CAPA, and quality communications for timely resolution.
• Direct internal audits, customer audits, supplier quality programs, and regulatory inspections.
• Drive operational excellence via SPC, Lean, Six Sigma to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs, budgets, training, and cross-functional partnerships.

Job description

• Lead, coach, and develop Quality teams while fostering a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement
• Manage and continuously enhance the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, OTC, customer, and industry standards
• Oversee customer complaints, investigations, CAPA programs, and quality communications to ensure timely resolution and sustained product quality
• Direct internal audits, customer audits, supplier quality programs, and regulatory inspections while maintaining full audit readiness and compliance
• Drive operational excellence through SPC, root cause analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and reduce waste
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs, manage quality budgets and training programs, and partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, Planning, and Customer Experience teams to improve product quality and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field, with 8+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven success leading and developing quality teams, driving measurable quality improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and overall business performance
• Strong experience within regulated manufacturing industries, preferably cosmetics, personal care, fragrance, pharmaceutical, or OTC products
• Deep knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, quality systems, audits, CAPA programs, compliance standards, ERP systems, and quality data analysis
• Demonstrated expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous professional development through ASQ or other quality-related certifications
