Job summary

OmniOn Power Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to audit engineering specs and packages, verify documentation against customer standards, and support continuous improvement across service delivery.

The role emphasizes accuracy, traceability, and adherence to internal procedures, with 100% remote work. Qualified candidates will have ~5 years in telecom, experience with CoPQ, quality systems, and data analysis using Excel/SharePoint.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Approximately 5 years of telecom industry experience including DC power installation/engineering, toll/fiber installation, project management, etc.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and audit practices; ability to interpret customer requirements, standards, and contractual engineering deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint for tracker maintenance and Cost of Quality calculations.

Responsibilities

• Audit engineering specifications for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to customer standards; document findings and drive timely correction/closure.
• Audit engineering packages (drawings, BOMs, build documentation, ECNs/changes, deviations, and supporting records) for compliance with customer requirements and internal procedures.
• Audit Methods of Procedure and End of Job packages for safe installation practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure version control and configuration alignment between customer requirements, released engineering documentation, and service deliverables.
• Track Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) metrics and support corrective actions to reduce cost of quality and improve customer satisfaction.
• Initiate corrective actions and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Operations to implement fixes and prevent recurrence.
• Support TL 9000 metric collection, validation, and reporting; prepare audit checklists, gather evidence, conduct interviews, and close corrective actions.
• Communicate recurring issues and propose process improvements.
• Maintain audit records and evidence per retention, confidentiality, and customer requirements.
