Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper. The role provides domain-level quality leadership, sets the quality strategy, and mentors senior QA engineers across multiple agile teams.

You will lead automotive test architectures, drive reliability, and help shape release confidence in a distributed QA environment. The role emphasizes hands-on testing supervision, collaboration with product and engineering leadership, and leveraging AI-assisted QA tooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation experience.
• 3+ years as a domain-level quality expert or SME across complex platforms.
• Demonstrated influence on quality practices and automation frameworks across teams.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.
• Experience in large product environments with Agile teams and distributed QA.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the ExamDeveloper quality system, including process, automation, tooling, metrics, and release confidence.
• Partner with Product Architect and Engineering leadership to determine long-term automation and quality strategy.
• Mentor and coach senior quality engineers and build quality capability across teams.
• Lead and review automated test suites and quality practices across the domain.
• Provide technical oversight of QA practices and artifacts for maintainability and quality standards.
