Pearson seeks a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper in the United States. You will provide domain-level quality leadership, set standards for automation, and mentor engineers across distributed QA teams.

This role drives reliable release readiness and customer-focused quality decisions. Engage with product and engineering leadership to shape the quality strategy, oversee test coverage, and advance AI-assisted QA tooling while ensuring scalable, observable quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation experience.
• 3+ years operating as a domain-level quality expert across distributed platforms.
• Demonstrated influence on quality practices or standards across multiple teams.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.
• Experience in large product environments with multiple Agile teams and QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the ExamDeveloper quality system and release confidence.
• Partner with Product Architect and Engineering leadership on automation strategy.
• Drive improvements to testing through automation, data, and risk alignment.
• Establish quality metrics and guide decision-making for releases.
• Mentor senior quality engineers and promote quality capabilities across teams.
• Provide technical oversight of QA practices and artifacts for maintainability.
