Job summary

Cognizant seeks a QNXT Technical Manager (Healthcare Payer Consulting) to lead technical delivery, governance, and optimization of QNXT-based solutions for healthcare payers. This remote role collaborates with client stakeholders, delivery teams, architects, and operations to ensure scalable, high‑performing systems.

You will mentor technical consultants, drive release management, and manage risks while aligning solutions with operational goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
8+ years of healthcare payer technology, consulting, implementation, or production support.
5+ years of hands-on QNXT technical experience supporting healthcare payer operations.
Strong expertise with QNXT Claims Processing, Benefits Configuration, Workflow Engine (WFE), Batch Processing, and System Integrations.
Experience supporting HIPAA EDI transactions including 837, 834, 820, and 27X transaction sets.
Advanced SQL and database analysis skills with experience troubleshooting complex production issues.
Deep understanding of QNXT Schema, architecture, data structures, and system dependencies.
Proven experience leading technical teams and managing client-facing consulting engagements.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end technical delivery for QNXT consulting, implementation, enhancement, and support engagements.
Provide technical leadership across QNXT Claims, Benefits Configuration, Workflow Engine (WFE), Batch Processing, Interfaces, and Integrations.
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues impacting claims processing, membership, provider, and benefit operations.
Oversee release management, environment governance, technical change management, and production support activities.
Partner with client business and IT teams to design scalable solutions that align with operational and strategic objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop technical consultants while promoting QNXT best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Manage technical risks, dependencies, and compliance requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
