Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a QNXT Technical Manager to lead technical delivery and governance for healthcare payer solutions on a fully remote basis in the United States. The role focuses on QNXT modules, integrations, and high-performing production support for critical payer operations.

You will oversee release and environment governance, mentor technical consultants, and partner with client teams to design scalable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of healthcare payer technology, consulting, implementation, or production support experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on QNXT technical experience supporting healthcare payer operations.
• Strong expertise with QNXT Claims Processing, Benefits Configuration, Workflow Engine (WFE), Batch Processing, and System Integrations.
• Experience supporting HIPAA EDI transactions including 837, 834, 820, and 27X transaction sets.
• Advanced SQL and database analysis skills with experience troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Deep understanding of QNXT Schema, architecture, data structures, and system dependencies.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing client-facing consulting engagements.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery for QNXT consulting, implementation, enhancement, and support engagements.

• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues impacting claims processing, membership, provider, and benefit operations.

About the role

As a QNXT Technical Manager, you will make an impact by leading the technical delivery, operational governance, and ongoing optimization of QNXT-based healthcare payer solutions. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Consulting team, partnering with client stakeholders, delivery teams, architects, and operations leaders to ensure stable, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support critical healthcare business functions.

In this role, you will:

What you need to have to be considered

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of healthcare payer technology, consulting, implementation, or production support experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on QNXT technical experience supporting healthcare payer operations.
• Strong expertise with QNXT Claims Processing, Benefits Configuration, Workflow Engine (WFE), Batch Processing, and System Integrations.
• Experience supporting HIPAA EDI transactions including 837, 834, 820, and 27X transaction sets.

• QNXT Conversion, Migration, or Modernization experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale QNXT production environments.
• Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Duals, and ACA Exchange products.
• Experience with healthcare payer operations including Claims, Membership, Benefits, and Provider Management.
• Familiarity with release management, DevOps practices, and cloud-hosted environments.
• Experience leading offshore and distributed delivery teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit controls.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $113,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
