Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation is seeking a Quality Clinical Documentation Improvement (QCDI) Coding Specialist to ensure comprehensive capture of billing data for HCC reporting. The role involves chart reviews, identifying reimbursement opportunities, and educating providers.

This remote, California-based position requires CPC or CCS certification, 5 years clinic coding experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. You will work from home with provided equipment.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience as a clinic coder.
• Extensive knowledge of payer contract guidelines.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
• Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand clinical compliance guidelines, complex reimbursement structures and to apply contractual and governmental regulations to internal processes.
• Superior organizational skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Able to work with minimum daily supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive chart reviews for HCC reporting accuracy.
• Identify reimbursement and quality of care opportunities in billing data.
• Provide provider education on coding and documentation.
• Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to resolve claims issues.
