Job summary

GAMA-1 in Greenbelt, MD is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist III to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise AWS cloud applications in a remote work arrangement. You will design, execute, and monitor QA testing, validate functionality across DEV and UAT, and collaborate with cloud teams to support successful deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of hands-on Python development, scripting, and automation.
• Experience in Quality Assurance and software testing, including test planning and validation.
• Experience testing applications in cloud environments.
• Understanding of DEV/UAT processes, defect lifecycle, and release validation.
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation (plans, cases, defect reports).
• Ability to analyze logs, dashboards, alarms, and alerts to identify issues.
• Familiarity with manual and automated testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and monitor QA testing for AWS cloud applications across DEV and UAT.
• Collaborate with AWS cloud teams to design test plans and testing strategies.
• Monitor test execution using AWS dashboards, CloudWatch, alarms, and logs.
• Develop and execute test cases for cloud-based applications across DEV and UAT.
• Document defects and test results; coordinate with development and DevOps teams for resolution.
• Generate detailed test reports and summaries of results and readiness for deployment.
• Support release validation, regression testing, and automation enhancements.
