Job summary

Aretum is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to provide expert QA support for a client application in an Agile sprint environment. The role emphasizes establishing QA standards, quality metrics, and testing processes to ensure performance and quality in a cloud-based setup using Python and TypeScript.

Due to federal contracting work, candidates must meet security requirements and handle CUI as applicable. This remote position allows occasional travel (<10%), with the job based out of McLean, VA area.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Quality Assurance experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (3 years of additional experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree)
• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing QA standards and procedures
• Ability to define measurable quality metrics, scoring criteria, and performance thresholds
• Experience evaluating hardware, software, and documentation
• Experience supporting and/or leading technical evaluations and assessments of systems and deliverables
• Experience ensuring compliance with QA standards and driving improvements

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to maintain the client application
• Support development, enhancements, accessibility, integration, optimization, and maintenance
• Ensure availability and correct operations
• Work within a sprint-based development cycle
• Utilize knowledge of the AWS cloud environment, Python backend and TypeScript front-end
