CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead ISO 9001 QMS across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites. Remote work with travel up to 50% is required, and the role oversees lab teams, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will supervise a Quality Coordinator, manage testing of materials, ensure method validation, calibrations, and KPI metrics, and drive corrective actions. Travel is regular.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing.
• 2+ years of laboratory supervisory experience.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, physical materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and SPC.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including document control, procedures, and audit readiness.
• Lead third party registration and customer audits.
• Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
• Oversee physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure analytical methods are validated and laboratory instruments are calibrated and maintained.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance metrics.
