Job summary

Ladders is seeking a QA Lead - Social to own the quality assurance strategy for the social experience in multiplayer games. The role partners with engineering and QA leadership to strengthen testing coverage, improve tooling and automation, and align quality with business priorities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in QA for gaming or software, deep backend testing expertise, and experience guiding external QA resources in a fast-moving development environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA for gaming or software development.
• Proficiency in technical testing for backend systems with minimal player interaction.
• Experience defining QA strategies aligned with business and project needs.
• Experience managing external QA teams effectively.
• Knowledge of gaming social systems such as matchmaking and chat features.
• Strong collaboration and negotiation skills with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the product from both player and technical perspectives.
• Create and execute a comprehensive QA strategy for social elements of multiplayer games.
• Identify and proactively address quality issues in processes and toolchains.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement tooling and automation strategies.
• Train and oversee external QA staff in executing QA plans.
• Work with QA leadership to establish and uphold quality assurance standards.
