Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA/QC program across multiple U.S. manufacturing locations. The role oversees laboratory quality, testing, audits, and continuous improvement, supervising a Quality Coordinator and guiding site lab teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial QA/QC, 2+ years in supervision, and ISO 9001 auditing certification. Travel up to 50% is required; ASQ CQE/CMQ/OE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing, chemicals, specialty materials, or related processing environment.
• 2+ years of laboratory supervisory or leadership experience.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, physical materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and statistical process control.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including document control and audits.
• Lead third-party registration and customer audits.
• Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
• Oversee physical and chemical testing of materials and products.
• Ensure analytical methods are validated and instruments calibrated.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality metrics.
