Job summary

Amoeba Software is seeking a mid-level QA contractor to design and execute tests across web apps, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations. You will review requirements, execute tests, and report defects with evidence, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure high quality releases.

Responsibilities include maintaining regression suites, validating data accuracy, and testing complex integrations and plugins.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software QA experience.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, regression suites, exploratory tests, and release validation activities.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, defect life cycles, risk-based testing, root-cause analysis, and software development life cycles.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, integrations, and data-intensive workflows.
• Working knowledge of API testing tools, browser developer tools, SQL or equivalent data-query methods, issue tracking systems, and test management practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting or programming sufficient to create, maintain, or extend automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and acceptance criteria for web apps, APIs, data pipelines, integrations, plugins, and related software.
• Review requirements, user stories, designs, and specs to identify risks and edge cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, usability, and data validation testing across environments.
• Validate data accuracy and traceability, spotting issues from mappings or integration behavior.
• Create clear defect reports with evidence, severity, and impact; propose follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and operations to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Develop and maintain regression suites, data, and QA documentation for releases.
• Test custom solutions interfacing with engineering platforms and Siemens Capital plugins.
• Learn wiring and engineering software to verify integrations and outputs.
• Complete training on wire harness components and apply knowledge during testing.
• Communicate quality risks and progress promptly to the Founder and team.
