Job summary

Raft Media Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure quality across web applications. You will design test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and checklists.

Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and usability testing, and collaborate with developers and Product Managers to resolve issues. You will also conduct API testing, validate backend responses, and identify edge cases early while following QA methodologies in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in software testing, preferably web.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Strong experience with functional and regression testing.
• Good understanding of API testing with Postman or similar.
• SQL/database testing understanding.
• Experience with bug-tracking and project-management tools like Jira, Asana.
• Detail-oriented with ability to identify edge cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios.
• Good communication and collaboration with devs and product teams.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements and acceptance criteria to identify testing needs.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, scenarios, and checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and usability testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs with clear steps.
• Collaborate with developers and Product Managers to resolve issues.
• Perform API testing and validate backend responses and data.
• Participate in requirement discussions to identify edge cases and risks.
• Regression testing for new releases to protect existing functionality.
• Contribute to QA processes, standards, and release workflows.
• Support automation initiatives where applicable.
• Take ownership of quality from requirement analysis through release.
