Job summary

PadSplit, Inc. is seeking a proactive QA Engineer to strengthen quality across our Marketplace pod, spanning Mobile, Web, and backend Platform systems. You will independently validate cross-platform user flows and help reduce production risk to increase release confidence.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Product to identify risk early, perform API and backend testing, and own regression strategies to ensure robust, scalable releases in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience testing Mobile, Web, and/or backend systems.
• Proficient in validating RESTful APIs and backend logic.
• Strong understanding of software/testing lifecycle.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman or similar.
• Able to understand system architecture and data flow.
• Thrives in remote, fast-paced startup environments.
• Shows ownership with independent execution.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy across Mobile, Web, and backend services.
• Validate complex user flows spanning frontend and backend.
• Perform API validation and data integrity checks.
• Execute cross-platform regression testing before releases.
• Diagnose defects using logs, network tools, and API inspection.
• Document and track defects with root-cause collaboration.
• Manage test environments, devices, and test data.
• Identify quality risks during sprint planning and releases.
