Job summary

PadSplit is seeking a QA Engineer to strengthen quality across Mobile (iOS/Android), Web, and backend Platform systems. You will own test strategies, validate end-to-end user flows, and ensure API integrity to reduce production risk.

The role requires strong cross-platform testing, API validation, and understanding of SDLC/STLC, with a proactive, ownership-driven approach in a remote startup setting.

Qualifications

• Experience testing Mobile, Web, and/or backend systems.
• Strong API validation for RESTful services and business logic.
• Solid understanding of software and testing lifecycle best practices.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
• Ability to understand system architecture, data flow, and integrations.
• Comfortable operating in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.
• High accountability with independent execution.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy: design and execute tests across Mobile, Web, and backend services.
• End-to-end validation of complex user flows spanning frontend and backend.
• Validate APIs, ensure data integrity, and verify business logic.
• Execute cross-platform regression testing before releases for stability.
• Diagnose defects using logs, network tools, and API inspection.
• Document, prioritize, and track defects; collaborate with engineers on root cause.
• Maintain test environments, device coverage, and reliable test data.
• Proactively surface quality risks during sprint planning and releases.
