Job summary

Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC, within Chenega Professional Services, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester to build automated testing, optimize CI/CD, and validate mission-critical public health systems prior to deployment to CDC stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on programming, scalable cloud test environments (AWS/Azure/Docker), and AI-enhanced QA techniques to accelerate validation and improve coverage in an agile setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• 4+ years programming/scripting (Python, Java, Groovy, SQL, Bash).
• 2+ years implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
• Experience executing automated API tests.
• Experience designing and executing test plans within a web-based data platform.
• Experience enabling scalable cloud test environments (AWS, Azure, Docker).
• Experience with AI‑powered QA tools (GitHub Copilot, Agentic UI Automation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness as required.
• Successfully pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize robust automation frameworks for web applications and APIs.
• Create scalable cloud-based test environments (AWS, Azure, Docker).
• Implement AI-enhanced testing approaches and integrate with Copilot/Agentic UI Automation.
• Perform automated and manual testing including regression, usability, and API validation.
• Refine CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, or Jenkins.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA to define test strategies and document defects.
• Mentor junior QA staff and ensure test documentation and quality benchmarks.
