Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Database Tester for remote contract-to-hire work. The role focuses on strong database testing, complex SQL, and test automation to ensure software meets business and technical requirements.

The candidate will collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile environment, performing comprehensive testing and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of IT experience focused on QA and Testing.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated tests.
• Strong SQL/database testing with complex queries.
• Snowflake and/or DB2 experience.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, SOAP, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages used for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to define, develop, and execute test strategies for new and existing applications.
• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on user stories and business requirements.
• Validate database functionality and data integrity using advanced SQL queries.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SOAP-based testing platforms.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is built into the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for testing processes, automation, and quality standards.
