Job summary

Paradigm Information Services is seeking a Quality Assurance Data Analyst to support its client, Epiq, on the Class Action Data Services team. This hands-on role centers on validating data imports and transformations using SQL and Excel to ensure accuracy across large datasets.

You will collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, project managers, and QA teammates in a fast-paced environment, writing test queries and documenting results for traceability and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 2+ years of strong database testing or data-validation experience.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with T-SQL and ANSI SQL.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL logic.
• Experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database logic.
• Experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, QA/Data Testing or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Validate data imports, updates, transformations, and extracts for datasets ranging from hundreds to millions of records.
• Review and understand SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and other database processes.
• Write and execute SQL test queries to verify data integrity and business logic.
• Analyze data using SQL Server and Excel to meet business and project requirements.
• Develop and execute test cases for normal conditions and data anomalies.
• Review requirements to identify gaps or data-quality issues.
• Work with data engineers, analysts, project managers, and QA to resolve defects.
• Verify corrections and document outcomes clearly.
• Translate functional requirements into testing scenarios and validation criteria.
• Perform peer reviews and maintain required validation artifacts.
