Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions across web applications and backend APIs. This remote role may require occasional travel to client locations in the DMV area, collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA to shift manual testing to scalable automated suites in our deployment pipeline.

Qualifications

• 4 years of QA experience
• Experience with automation

Responsibilities

• Design and write maintainable automated test scripts for web applications and backend APIs.
• Build and scale robust automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Cucumber.
• Analyze requirements and user stories to create end-to-end test plans.
• Execute regression, functional, and smoke tests prior to major releases.
• Identify, log, and track defects with reproduction steps and severity.
• Isolate and troubleshoot test failures to determine root cause (application vs test).
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
