Job summary

Northramp LLC. seeks a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for federal software solutions, ensuring security, accessibility, performance, and reliability.

You will collaborate with software engineers, DevSecOps, product owners, and program leadership in an Agile environment, drive test planning and audit-ready documentation, and support federal compliance initiatives while working primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IT/SE.
• 3-5 years of software quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Experience with Selenium, Katalon, JMeter, Axe by Deque, and Postman.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD using Harness or GitHub Actions; knowledge of Agile and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, integration, API, performance, security, and accessibility testing.
• Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks, reusable components, and testing standards that improve coverage and support frequent software releases.
• Translate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into traceable test cases and automated test scenarios.
• Apply test-driven development and shift-left testing practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Validate application functionality across development, integration, staging, pre-production, and production-like environments.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Harness or GitHub Actions; establish automated quality gates.
