Job summary

Arnold & Porter is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Application Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, security, and performance of the firm’s enterprise applications. This role plans and executes testing for packaging, installations, upgrades, patches, integrations, and deployments across the desktop and endpoint environment.

Working with Desktop Engineering, stakeholders, and support teams, the analyst will validate that applications function as intended and meet business

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus two years in application analysis or QA.
Minimum three years of QA/testing or analyst experience.
Knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and release validation.
Ability to develop and execute varied test cases for installations and upgrades.
Proficiency with defect-tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow.
SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows OS, MECM/Intune, and endpoint deployment.
Familiarity with REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
Proficient in documenting test plans, results, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and translate them into testing strategies, plans, and acceptance criteria.
Perform installation, upgrade, compatibility, functional, regression, and integration testing.
Validate MSI, MSIX, EXE, and IntuneWin32 packages before release.
Test installations across images, hardware, and VDI for end-user experience.
Coordinate with Desktop Engineering and stakeholders for release-readiness.
Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects to resolution.
Investigate issues and support defect resolution and decisions.
Validate interfaces, DB transactions, and reports post-installation.
Develop and maintain test documentation, data, and procedures.
Support UAT, including test preparation, execution, and sign-off.
Evaluate releases and changes for functional impact with Desktop Engineering.
Assist deployments via MECM and Intune with pre/post validation.
Monitor post-release behavior and document corrective actions.
