Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Scrum Master / Business Analyst for a fully remote VA initiative focused on SSN reduction within VistA applications and related processes. You will lead Agile ceremonies, coach teams, and collaborate with government stakeholders to produce clear requirements and testable user stories.

The role emphasizes privacy, security objectives, and cross-functional coordination with product owners, security teams, and QA, ensuring compliant delivery in a sensitive healthcare IT

Qualifications

• Experience as Scrum Master or BA in healthcare IT or complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
• Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow diagrams, process maps, and gap analyses.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support Scrum-based software development teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Scrum Master and Agile facilitator for the multidisciplinary project team.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Coach team members on Scrum principles, Agile practices, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Identify, track, and help remove impediments affecting team delivery.
• Partner with the Product Owner and technical leads to maintain a prioritized, actionable product backlog.
• Track sprint progress, commitments, dependencies, risks, and delivery outcomes.
• Support project leadership with status reporting, delivery metrics, risk identification, and issue escalation.
• Analyze current-state workflows and data-handling activities to identify SSN usage and dependencies.
• Develop clear business and technical requirements supporting SSN removal and transition to approved enterprise identifiers.
• Translate requirements into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and backlog items.
• Conduct gap analyses and document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Ensure requirements are complete, testable, traceable, and aligned with project objectives.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, QA, and Government leadership.
• Collaborate with QA to develop acceptance criteria and test plans.
• Support UAT by coordinating stakeholders and validating delivered functionality.
