Canonical is a pioneering open-source software company known for publishing Ubuntu. We hire Software Engineers with strong Python, packaging and Linux skills to impact the day-to-day workflow of snap, charm and rock publishers.
You will work on packaging formats, build systems, automation, and tools to deliver software to millions of Linux systems globally. We offer a fully remote environment with a generous learning budget, annual compensation reviews, and opportunities to travel for sprints
Formación
- Expertise in Python required.
- Strong understanding of the makeup of a modern GNU/Linux distribution.
- Good understanding of build systems and cross-compilation.
- Experience with container tech such as Docker, Kubernetes and LXD.
- Familiarity with languages, toolchains, CI to extend the snap build ecosystem.
- Work with external open source and commercial projects to understand how we can better serve community needs.
