Job summary

FormativGroup is hiring a Python Developer with Insurance experience for a remote, full-time role in the United States. You will design and maintain Python applications and backend services for insurance processes, including Policy, Claims, Underwriting, and Billing.

Responsibilities include building REST APIs, integrating systems, and enabling data processing with Python and SQL in an Agile environment. You will work on cloud deployments, CI/CD, unit testing, debugging, and performance

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python backend development experience, including building REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience developing applications using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, data processing, and query optimization.
• Experience integrating applications through APIs and web services and supporting cloud-based deployments and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, production support, performance optimization, and secure coding and development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications supporting insurance business processes, including Policy, Claims, Underwriting, and Billing systems.
• Build REST APIs and backend services, and integrate applications with internal and external systems using APIs and web services.
• Develop data-processing and automation solutions using Python and SQL, work with relational databases, and optimize SQL queries.
• Develop and maintain applications using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions in an Agile/Scrum environment.
