Job summary

FormativGroup is seeking an experienced Python backend developer to build and support backend services and REST APIs for insurance domain processes, including policy, claims, underwriting, and billing. This is a full-time, remote role supporting a client engagement in the insurance industry.

You will develop Python apps with Django/Flask/FastAPI, work on data-processing with SQL, participate in CI/CD and cloud deployments, and collaborate in Agile teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python backend development experience including building REST APIs

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications supporting insurance business processes
• Build REST APIs and backend services, and integrate applications with internal and external systems
• Develop data-processing and automation solutions using Python and SQL
• Develop and maintain applications using Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements in Agile/Scrum environments
• Work hands-on across development, debugging, production support, and ongoing application improvement
