Job summary

Hired is seeking a Python Developer to build and maintain backend services and data pipelines. The role focuses on real product systems, requiring clean code, sensible architecture, and discipline to ensure what you ship keeps working tomorrow.

You'll work remotely, collaborating with product, data, and infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of production Python experience and hands-on knowledge of Django, Flask, or FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and cloud/delivery tooling such as Docker,

Qualifications

• 2 years building production Python applications.
• Strong knowledge of Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerisation (Docker).
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and modern testing frameworks (pytest).
• Pragmatic approach to trade-offs between speed and quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Write clean, well-tested code following modern Python best practices
• Design and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Optimise performance and resource usage across services
