Job summary

FormativGroup is seeking an experienced Python developer to build backend applications, REST APIs, and data-driven automation for insurance processes. This is a full-time remote role serving a client engagement in the insurance industry.

You will develop and maintain Python applications, REST APIs, and data-processing solutions; integrate internal and external systems; and work with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, secure solutions in a modern cloud/CI/CD environment.

Qualifications

• Strong backend Python development experience, including building REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience developing applications using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, data processing, and query optimization.
• Experience integrating applications via APIs and web services and supporting cloud-based deployments and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications supporting insurance business processes.
• Build REST APIs and backend services and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
• Develop data-processing and automation solutions using Python and SQL, optimize queries.
• Collaborate with business/technical teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
