Job summary

Workana is seeking a Semi-Senior Python Backend Engineer for a fully remote role serving international teams across Latin America and beyond. You will design, develop, and optimize backend services using Python (Django/Flask), build robust RESTful APIs, and contribute to scalable microservices architectures.

You will collaborate with frontend, product, and UX/UI teams in an agile environment, with a focus on performance, code quality, and continuous integration/deployment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of backend development with Python.
• Experience with Django or Flask and building RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Python frameworks such as Django and Flask.
• Collaborate with frontend team to create RESTful APIs.
• Optimize existing code and databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices and maintain high code quality.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and integration processes.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to manage data storage solutions.
• Engage in agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
