Job summary

NORTHEASTERN SUPPLY INC is seeking a Purchasing Agent for a full-time, home-office role based in Golden Ring, MD. You will manage purchase orders, inventory, supplier relations, and ensure optimal fill rates and turns.

Responsibilities include PO management, inventory control across branches, vendor negotiations, ERP data maintenance, and analytics on KPIs. Strong Excel/ERP skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent buying experience preferred.
• Experience with modern purchasing methods and pricing.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP software.
• Strong problem-solving and vendor negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Order Management: authorizes, processes, expedites, and reviews orders for accuracy.
• Inventory & Stock Management: maintains records and ensures branch fill rates and turns.
• Supplier & Vendor Relations: negotiates, monitors trends, resolves issues with customers/clients.
• Planning, Reporting & Systems: provides data, ERP maintenance, and KPI analysis.
• Other duties as assigned and cross-team coordination with departments.
