Job summary

Careerscape is seeking an entry-level, fully remote Purchasing Assistant to join the procurement team. You will process purchase orders, track deliveries, maintain vendor records, and support senior buyers in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic data entry.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Track order status and follow up with vendors.
• Maintain/update vendor and pricing records in purchasing system.
• Assist with sourcing quotes from multiple suppliers.
• Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and packing slips.
• Communicate with internal teams on order status and needs.
• Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, pricing or quantities.
• Support inventory tracking for reorder needs.
• File and organize purchasing documentation and contracts.
• Assist senior buyers with special projects and reporting.
